Adzuki beans contain saponin, which gives it a natural foaming action to help remove dead skin cells and cleanse pores by drawing out pore clogging sebum, dirt and bacteria that can cause blemishes. It also tightens and softens the skin, and promotes circulation, giving it a healthy, natural glow.

Kaolin Clay boasts detoxifying and stimulating benefits for all skin types. Kaolin is excellent for sensitive skin by extracting impurities and absorbing excess oils without causing inflammation or redness.

Rice contains para aminobenzoic acid, ferulic acid and allantoin. Para aminobenzoic acid is known to protect the skin against sun damage and increases the absorption of Vitamin C. Ferulic acid is an anti-oxidant and allantoin is inflammatory in natures and repairs the skin. Brown Rice has a fine texture making it an excellent exfoliator to help remove dead skin cells. Rice also absorbs excess sebum and leaves your skin clean, smooth and re-energised.

Chickpea flour (Besan or gram flour) is rich in protein, unsaturated fatty acids like linoleic and oleic acids, vitamins like riboflavin, niacin, folate, and beta-carotene and is gluten free. The zinc in besan helps to fight infections that cause acne and has long been used in India for its many benefits for skin and hair. It also helps control excess sebum production and soothes inflamed skin.

Kelp is high in iodine which helps calm and soothe dry skin and is excellent for anyone with dry and flaky patches of skin. It has a high mineral content and is rich in antioxidants to help soften and hydrate dry skin. Anti-oxidants are known to help protect your skin against UVA rays and daily pollution.

Aloe Vera is well known beneficial ingredient for skin and is especially good at treating acne and dry skin. It contains antioxidants, enzymes, Vitamins A and C, and has excellent anti-inflammatory properties.

Frankincense essential oil is a natural astringent which helps regulate sebum production. The boswellic acids in Frankincense can destroy bacteria associated with acne and will soothe and reduce inflammation. Frankincense helps to stimulate cell regeneration and protect from free radical damage.
