Luckily, this refreshing brew, with its minty citrus twist and exotic floral note, CHANGES COLOUR!

From brilliant blue to lilac purple all with a squeeze of lemon juice. Ta da!

Expect some drama. But let this tea be the only drama in your life.

INGREDIENTS & INSTRUCTIONS

Organic Lemongrass, Organic Peppermint, Organic Butterfly Pea Flower, Organic Nettle, Organic Licorice Root, Organic Red Rose Petals,Organic Red Clover & Organic Calendula Petals.

Hot tea - 1 generous tsp per cup / Brew at 100C for 3-5 minutes
Iced tea - 2 generous tsp per cup / Brew in cold water in the fridge overnight
Drink plain or add a squeeze of lemon/lime juice to change colour from blue to purple / Caffeine free.

Notes
With peppermint and lemongrass as the base ingredients, Drama Queen has a refreshing minty citrus twist going on. Butterfly Pea Flowers (Clitoria ternatea) are the magical thing that give the tisane its incredible blue colour.

The Butterfly Pea Flower plant is native to Southeast Asia and is known to be very high in potent antioxidants and to possess a myriad of awesome health benefits. The peppermint, lemongrass and pea flower is lovingly blended here with organic dried flowers, licorice root and nettle to create an exotic floral top note to compliment the minty citrus base.  Once water is added to the tea, the magnificent blue liquid will change colour based on the PH Level of what ever is added next. Adding lemon or lime juice or even honey sees this tea "put on a show" of its very own.

Though it is very tempting to get straight into the colour changing magic, do take time to enjoy the aroma, flavour and experience of the blue tisane. It really is quite something - refreshing, complex, exotic. Once the lemon is added, the flavour changes considerably and it becomes more "lemony" (obvious I guess). You may expect that the lemon juice will bring a certain level of 'tart' but, quite surprisingly, it releases a sweetness in the cup.

So, what you have here.... is two very different tisanes in one... Ta da! We love to please.

Drama Queen was inspired by Adelaide Fringe and Adelaide Festival artists and audiences during "Mad March". It includes herbs that energise (to get through the long run of the festivals) and to cleanse /flush toxins (because... Mad March).

It incorporates herbs that are cooling to the body as often it is a time of extreme heat in Adelaide - the tea is beautiful hot and amazing when cold brewed or spritzed.

This tisane takes you to such a magical place, we almost called it 'Xanadu'.
