We need water for every body system and the majority of body functions.

When we feel thirst, it’s actually the first sign of dehydration. It’s not our body giving us a friendly reminder to drink water; it’s a big nudge because by this time our vital bodily processes are already suffering.

Creating healthy habits around drinking water can ensure you are maintaining good body hydration and promote optimal health.

If you are feeling fatigued, bloated, constipated, or have dry skin, hair and nails it could be a sign you aren’t drinking enough water. Drinking water has even shown to help with weight loss.

My biggest tip is to start early – as soon as you wake up. Getting water in early allows you to pace yourself throughout the day and avoids thirst, dehydration and sculling right before bed, which can disrupt sleep.
